The Master of Science in School Counseling program holds national accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). Maintaining CACREP accreditation ensures the program delivers top-tier faculty and curriculum quality. This program equips students to support youth developmentally by helping them define objectives, address behavioral and social challenges, and improve their educational journey. Alumni assist students in navigating various issues, mastering both individual and group counseling methods while gaining hands-on training through internships across elementary, middle, and high school settings. Completing this 48-credit program, along with two years of New York school counseling experience, qualifies graduates for permanent New York State certification as school counselors.
