The Professional Counseling Program is a 60-credit hour curriculum culminating in a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree. The Clinical Professional Counseling Program provides three pathways: (1) a 60-hour program fulfilling Oklahoma's Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) qualifications, (2) a 15-hour Drug and Alcohol Counseling certification, and (3) a 15-hour School Counseling certification. These certificate programs can be taken separately or integrated as specializations within the Clinical Professional Counseling Program. The Drug and Alcohol Counseling certification comprises five accredited courses recognized by the Oklahoma Board of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. The School Counseling certification combines fundamental Counseling coursework with Special Education classes, equipping graduates for Oklahoma School Counselor Certification.
Our Professional Counseling Program dedicates itself to providing exceptional on-campus education and career preparation, developing master's-level professionals in clinical mental health counseling (LPC), school counseling (state certification), and addictions counseling (LADC).
