The 36-credit Master of Science in Educational Leadership prepares modern educators with competencies to master six key aspects of effective school district management: interpersonal skills, administrative leadership, community engagement, research methods, financial operations, and technological integration. Along with courses covering curriculum development, instructional oversight, and educational legislation, you'll benefit from instruction by our distinguished faculty - all currently practicing professionals in their respective disciplines. Guided by an experienced school administrator, participants will undertake a 400-hour practical internship in school administration. Graduates who complete this program (and pass the New York State School Leadership Assessment) will qualify for New York State certification as School Building Leaders. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree, possess permanent or professional teaching certification (or certification in an educational specialty), and have satisfactorily completed three years of teaching experience.
