Lehigh's Bachelor of Science in Population Health equips students to analyze health determinants through data science, discovering innovative approaches for disease prevention, wellness promotion, diagnosis, and treatment.
This interdisciplinary program blends population health studies with core mathematics, natural sciences, social sciences, and computer science courses. Through academic work, hands-on experiences, research initiatives, and collaborations with diverse partners, students develop expertise to advance global health. The 124-credit BS program delivers comprehensive training in Population Health theory alongside practical skills in data science and epidemiology. Required courses include POPH 001: Introduction to Population Health, along with foundational classes in research methodologies, historical perspectives, biological foundations, data science applications, and epidemiological principles.
