The Department of Public Health and Recreation develops professionals who champion wellness and enhance living, working, learning, and recreational spaces. We commit to a Teacher-Scholar-Practitioner approach by engaging students, graduates, faculty, and communities to progress public health and recreation methodologies. Our public health bachelor's program explores health's multifaceted aspects (physical, mental, social, ecological, and spiritual) along with evidence-based strategies for population health improvement (covering disease patterns, policy-making, and community initiatives) to establish ideal circumstances for universal health and wellbeing.
Students must Earn a high school diploma, or equivalent and earn the equivalent of a U.S. 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or an average of “B” grades. Successfully complete three years of college preparatory mathematics with a minimum grade of “C-” or better.
English Language Requirements: IELTS - 6.0, TOEFL – 61 (IBT), Paper based – 500; Pearson Test of English (PTE) – 44.
