The Associate in Science in Public Health Science for Transfer (AS-T) program provides a foundation for students aiming to pursue a bachelor's degree in Public Health Science or related fields at any California State University (CSU). Graduates earn guaranteed admission to the CSU system, though specific campuses or programs aren't assured.
This curriculum equips students with fundamental public health research methodologies, understanding of key theoretical approaches, familiarity with essential public health literature, analytical thinking capabilities, and strong written communication skills. To obtain the AS-T in Public Health Science, students must complete 60 semester units of transferable CSU coursework, fulfilling both major prerequisites and CSU/IGETC general education requirements, while maintaining at least a 2.0 GPA. All major courses require a minimum grade of C for completion.
