The Bachelor of Arts in Economics within the College of Arts and Sciences equips students for advanced studies in economics or law, as well as professional opportunities in business, government, or nonprofit sectors. The department provides three undergraduate options: a B.A. in economics through Arts and Sciences, plus B.S. programs in economics and business economics, both housed in the College of Business and Economics. At the graduate level, we offer an M.S. in general economics and a Ph.D. in business and economics. Our faculty's research appears in prestigious publications such as the American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Political Economy, and numerous other leading economics journals. They also author specialized textbooks and scholarly books while holding editorial positions at major economics publications.
