The Master of Education in Early Childhood Education develops educators who critically assess their practice while gaining advanced expertise in multi-disciplinary curriculum for preschool to primary grades. Graduates emerge as ethically responsible leaders, collaborative decision-makers, skilled pedagogues, and dedicated professionals across early childhood settings, with a strong focus on fostering inclusive and nurturing educational environments.
Participants can integrate Ohio certifications for preschool instruction, literacy specialization, or generalist qualifications (covering fourth and fifth grades) into their studies. The program also offers the possibility to earn International Baccalaureate (IB) recognition within the M.Ed. framework.
The Globalization and Intercultural Competence specialization caters to educators seeking evidence-based approaches for teaching international learners and those aiming to enhance their cultural responsiveness to serve increasingly diverse classrooms with immigrant and refugee students.
