The Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology prepares skilled professionals to assess communication disorders and the therapeutic approaches for managing these conditions.
This full-time program spans six (6) academic terms. For students pursuing the non-clinical track (not requiring licensure or certification), completion is possible in five (5) terms and covers:
14 courses addressing various speech, language, and swallowing disorders
two courses on typical communication processes
one research methods course
Clinical training occurs at both university and external sites for those pursuing professional certification. Most students complete the master's degree in two years of full-time study, with duration varying based on clinical requirements.
