The Allied Health concentration aims to enhance the career prospects of current allied health professionals or students entering the field. This pathway is ideal for those seeking a broad public health education or planning to transition into professional degrees (like accelerated nursing) or technical allied health programs (such as respiratory therapy, radiologic technology, or therapy assistant roles). Participants may qualify for up to 12 upper-division credits if they hold or are working toward state licensure in an allied health discipline, based on prior experience and proven competencies. Those without licensure can still choose this concentration by completing 12 credit hours of specialized allied health coursework. The curriculum covers essential public health domains - from epidemiology and biostatistics to environmental health, global health, and health policy - equipping graduates to address the growing need for skilled public health professionals.
