The Medical Laboratory Science Bachelor of Science program enables students to complete three years at Kent State followed by a 12-month clinical rotation at an accredited hospital. These laboratory professionals learn to conduct sophisticated chemical analyses, microscopic examinations, and microbiological testing. Upon completion, graduates qualify to take the certification examination administered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists' Board of Registry.

New first-year applicants must finish secondary school in their home country by the time of enrollment to be eligible for university (comparable to the completion of senior high school in the U.S.). A student who has previously enrolled in a post-secondary (higher education) institution is required to apply as a transfer student.
