To enroll in the Master of Science in Industrial Engineering program within the Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering department, applicants must satisfy KSU Graduate School admission criteria. Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, or physical sciences and demonstrate familiarity with fundamental industrial engineering concepts. Those without an industrial engineering background may need to complete up to 6 credit hours of preparatory coursework. All applicants must submit GRE scores, except those who have earned an undergraduate degree from an ABET-accredited institution.
Prospective M.S.I.E. students should be competent in computer programming, linear programming, and statistical methods. Individuals lacking these skills may be required to complete additional prerequisite coursework before beginning the program.
