The Master's in Creative Writing and Literature equips students to become poets, novelists, essayists, short story authors, critics, editors, and educators. As one of the department's most extensive and dynamic programs, it provides creative writing workshops focusing on poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, with personalized guidance from accomplished, prize-winning faculty members. Beyond writing workshops, students gain comprehensive and focused knowledge in British and American literary traditions. Participants can join the editorial team of Touchstone, K-State's yearly literary publication, or instruct in our summer Young Writers' Program designed for middle school students.
