The Composition, Rhetoric, and Literature Program invites you to investigate diverse topics, methods, and frameworks that shape language studies across social, cultural, academic, workplace, and literary settings. Fundamentally, composition and rhetoric examines how language interacts with power and influences both individual experiences and systemic structures. At Kansas State, our Composition & Rhetoric program embraces cross-disciplinary perspectives and empowers graduate students to drive meaningful transformation. This curriculum offers comprehensive training in rhetorical and compositional theory, professional writing, and literary studies, while allowing students to tailor their focus toward technical communication, rhetorical analysis, or pedagogy.
