This program on Community Engaged Leadership combines leadership concepts with hands-on application, delving into the core values, objectives, and methods of community involvement and democratic participation. Through service-learning approaches, participants will collaborate with local communities to analyze fundamental aspects of civic engagement and public service. The course will investigate and critically assess various community models in connection with key themes. By blending academic study with practical experience, learners will reflect on the moral aspects of leadership within community structures, groups, and establishments. Participants will critically examine elements of community-focused leadership such as racial dynamics, socioeconomic factors, gender issues, equity, and authority structures. The service-learning component enables students to partner with organizations to gain insight into community frameworks, associations, and governing bodies.
