Gain comprehensive knowledge of nutritional science to assist individuals in preventing and treating health issues like diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular conditions, and other ailments. As Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs), professionals apply food and nutrition research to improve personal and community health. K-State provides two specialized dietetics tracks: a didactic curriculum and a coordinated program.
Starting in 2024, aspiring Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) will need a graduate degree to qualify for the certification exam. The Department of Food, Nutrition, Dietetics and Health presents multiple pathways to meet this advanced degree prerequisite.
The didactic track is available both in-person and through digital platforms, with K-State boasting the top-ranked online dietetics program nationwide. Completers of this track become eligible to pursue the mandatory post-graduate internship prior to attempting the national RDN certification exam.
