The Idaho State University Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) aims to provide comprehensive education through classroom instruction and hands-on training in food and nutrition. Our goal is to cultivate forward-thinking, skilled professionals ready for supervised practice, ultimately qualifying them to take the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) certification exam and become registered dietitian nutritionists.
We encourage both prospective and enrolled students to meet with the program director or a dietetics faculty advisor. These sessions help clarify program expectations, coursework details, supervised practice components, and the certification process for becoming a registered dietitian nutritionist.
