The Photography program combines innovative and classic methods within the framework of modern artistic discourse. Learners engage with diverse conventional and experimental approaches through structured courses and self-directed projects, utilizing darkrooms and studios equipped for black-and-white, color, large-format, alternative processes, studio work, and digital imaging. Those studying photography develop the ability to produce technically proficient, compelling visuals that examine the medium's societal significance. By pursuing a BFA with a Photography focus, students gain the foundation to emerge as exhibiting artists showing in regional and national galleries, professional photographers, or creators preparing for advanced studies in MFA programs.
