The School of Film and Photography (SFP) equips students to navigate an ever-evolving media landscape as skilled creative professionals and analytical thinkers. Through immersive practical experience in filmmaking, photography, theater, and digital media, our students cultivate their unique perspectives as future innovators. The school provides a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with specializations in Film or Photography, along with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Integrated Lens-Based Media. Both degree paths build upon a shared core that explores the connections between film and photographic arts, allowing students to take cross-disciplinary courses while fulfilling their chosen concentration requirements. BFA candidates work closely with advisors to tailor their academic journey, while both programs enable students to expand their learning beyond SFP through electives. We actively promote international study opportunities, pursuing minors in complementary fields, and even dual degrees. While delivering industry-standard training in film and photography, we equally emphasize comprehensive education to open diverse career pathways beyond these specific disciplines.
Freshmen will be considered for admission on the basis of their secondary school record and their English proficiency. Applicants who can prove their English language proficiency and have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.5/4.0 on a U.S. scale will qualify for admission.
