As a mechanical engineering student, you will develop expertise in analyzing, designing, and modeling fluid and solid systems while gaining understanding of social and economic contexts and honing the communication abilities needed to succeed. Our alumni form an elite group of scientifically-minded engineers who emerge as leaders in top graduate engineering programs, scientific research, medical and law schools, as well as across industries, government labs, and various organizations.
Students can pursue an Aerospace Engineering specialization after establishing a strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering fundamentals through the core B.S. Mechanical Engineering or B.S. Engineering Mechanics curriculum. This concentration builds upon and demands proficiency in multiple disciplines such as advanced dynamics, flight mechanics, propulsion systems, aerospace materials and structures, signal processing, control systems, astrophysics, and space technology.
