Outstanding students in the Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering program can pursue a Master's degree through the Department, choosing either the MSAE (Thesis Option) or MAE (Non-Thesis Option). This initiative aims to equip graduates for doctoral studies or leadership roles in the aerospace sector. It enhances the undergraduate curriculum by incorporating graduate-level courses to emphasize future research. Under the Accelerated Aerospace Engineering option, students complete six credits of graduate coursework to meet undergraduate technical elective requirements. These credits apply to both the BS and MS degrees if the student remains in the accelerated program and earns a B grade or higher. One course must be from the core of the selected MSAE/MAE Area of Concentration, and the other must be a graduate-level Mathematics course. These six credits are recorded on the undergraduate transcript and will not appear on the master's transcript until graduation.
When evaluating an applicant for admission, Embry‚ÄëRiddle takes into consideration a student's high school academic record (both courses taken and overall grade-point average), rank in class, and activities. Embry‚ÄëRiddle values individual academic achievement, initiative, talent and character above standardized testing.
