The biology department provides a specialized neuroscience track within the biology major, catering to students fascinated by cellular, molecular, systemic, and behavioral studies of the nervous system. Those selecting the neuroscience concentration must fulfill all standard biology major prerequisites along with these additional specifications. Courses counting toward this concentration may simultaneously satisfy core biology major requirements.
Students can pursue either a four-year B.A. or B.S. in biology. The B.A. program requires intermediate foreign language proficiency plus three philosophy credits. Through its rigorous academic programs, research initiatives, and community involvement, the Biology Department cultivates analytical abilities, communication skills, and ethical awareness while equipping students for professional success.
