The majority of our students enroll in our Master of Arts (M.A.) in political science program, specializing in one of three focus areas: public policy, global politics, or American politics. This 30-credit program allows full-time students to complete three courses each semester, typically earning their degree within two years. We offer a low-residency online format for this degree, with both thesis and creative component options available. Our adaptable curriculum even enables students to complete requirements for two concentrations within the two-year timeframe. In today's interconnected world, our program provides opportunities to examine politics through an international lens. Students can investigate topics ranging from conflict and terrorism to global commerce, or focus on specific regional political systems like those in China or Latin America. The global politics concentration particularly prepares graduates for internationally oriented government positions (such as with the State Department) or private sector roles requiring global awareness. This track also provides excellent preparation for doctoral studies.
