The History department provides Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science programs in History, along with a Master of Arts and a Ph.D. specializing in Rural, Agricultural, Technological, and Environmental History. Students often complement their history major with a minor, dual major, or teaching certification.
For undergraduates, the department features introductory survey courses (2000 series) that serve as either general education requirements or foundations for higher-level history and interdisciplinary studies. Beyond these foundational courses, students can explore specialized upper-level classes covering diverse regions like Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the U.S., as well as focused topics including technology, science, agriculture, and more.
