Earn your Museum Studies Master's Degree through our 36-credit program designed to launch your museum career. The curriculum includes six foundational courses (18 credits) covering essential museum principles and practices. Customize your path with four electives (12 credits) and two internships (6 credits), tailoring your studies to match your professional aspirations. Specialize in areas like interpretation and evaluation, collections management, or community engagement, or build broad expertise ideal for smaller institutions. Select from diverse electives offered across eight campus departments, creating a truly personalized academic journey.
Students must have received a bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) in the United States or another country.
All non-native speakers of English must also submit proof of English proficiency unless the applicant has a Bachelor's degree or higher from the US or a predominantly English-speaking country.
