The Medical Humanities and Health Studies Program provides an interdisciplinary education that equips undergraduates to comprehend health and medicine's wider societal role. Humanities classes explore how individuals experience health, medical treatment, disease, and mortality. Social science offerings examine the economic, cultural, and social factors influencing healthcare and wellbeing. Learners gain from numerous campus professors with robust healthcare teaching and research expertise. Curriculum highlights include: ethical considerations in medical choices, the dual nature of patient care as science and art, how location, economics and history affect healthcare availability, societal perceptions of wellness and treatment, worldwide health initiatives, and technological advances enhancing compassionate care.
Students must have earned a diploma from an accredited high school before you enroll at IUPUI.
ENGLISH PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS
Students scoring TOEFL 60+ or IELTS 5.5+ are eligible for admission but should anticipate taking additional English for Academic Purposes courses along with their academic program.
