Brigham Young University's Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) program provides returning students who can't come back to campus with a way to complete their BYU education remotely. To qualify, applicants need at least 30 credit hours earned as daytime students at BYU's Provo campus. Participants must follow the BYU Honor Code and obtain yearly ecclesiastical endorsements. Refer to Admission Requirements and About BYU Ecclesiastical Endorsements for details. Current BYU students with under 90 credits (excluding exam credits) cannot enroll in this program.
Complete 27 hours of on-campus coursework.
Finish at least 10 hours in your chosen emphasis area after BGS program admission.
Of the required 120 credits, 30 must be upper-division courses (300-level or higher), including 15 in your emphasis.
Maintain minimum 2.0 GPAs: BYU, cumulative, and emphasis-specific.
All program requirements must be fulfilled within an eight-year timeframe.
