The Family Health specialization within the MPH curriculum equips students to design and execute impactful, strengths-focused initiatives, educational strategies, and policies that improve health outcomes for individuals and families throughout all life stages. The program explores the reciprocal relationship between family dynamics and individual wellbeing, examines how diverse cultural backgrounds shape health perspectives, and investigates how broader societal structures impact family wellness. Instruction is provided by faculty specialists covering subjects like developmental psychology, aging studies, youth health, critical life events, varied family structures, and the dynamics of family relationships.
