Your academic journey will unfold in a vibrant atmosphere featuring seven choral groups, up to six opera choruses per season, over 300 talented vocalists, and access to one of the world's most extensive music collections. The robust curriculum includes a complete series of classes in conducting, choral repertoire, rehearsal methods, and score analysis, complemented by weekly one-on-one sessions with faculty. You'll apply your knowledge through hands-on experience as both a conductor and educator. Throughout the program, you'll frequently lead recitals and assist faculty conductors with choral ensembles. Additional opportunities include directing rehearsals, sectional practices, and occasionally conducting pieces for faculty performances. Upon completing the program, you'll emerge as a versatile conductor ready to make your mark globally.
