As part of a lively and energetic university community, the School of Music boasts a proud legacy of excellence in training vocalists for diverse professional careers. Distinctive features of our vocal studies include weekly hour-long voice instruction for all majors across every degree program and academic level, an inclusive opera program available to vocal students from freshman year onward, opportunities to pursue dual majors by blending music with other academic passions, and specialized Voice concentrations for Master of Music candidates enrolled in other degree programs at the School of Music.

Qualification Requirements

A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or a comparable degree from an international institution is required.
A minimum undergraduate grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 on the equivalent of the last 60 semester hours (approximately two years of work) or a master's degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 is required. Applicants from an international institution must demonstrate strong academic achievement comparable to a 3.00 for an undergraduate or master's degree.
