The LLM program in U.S. law, tailored for the bar exam, equips students to take American bar examinations. Certain jurisdictions like California, New York, Washington, Texas, and Washington D.C. permit LLM graduates without JD degrees to qualify for the bar exam. The curriculum focuses on bar-tested subjects including Torts, Property, Criminal Procedure, Civil Procedure, and Conflict of Laws, alongside foundational courses about the U.S. legal system: American Constitutional Law for Foreign Lawyers, American Legal History, and the Legal Profession for Foreign Lawyers. Students can also choose electives in Constitutional Law, Business Law, Family Law, and Civil Procedure to delve into specialized legal fields that align with their interests.
