Our department's purpose is to drive scientific progress by employing cutting-edge experimental and theoretical approaches, aiming to comprehend the complete brain-behavior system—spanning molecular neuroscience, cognitive processes, and group social dynamics. Graduate students play an engaged, participatory role in this endeavor. We provide seven distinct Ph.D. specializations, which we consider interrelated fields rather than isolated disciplines. Selecting a specialization enables focused study while operating within a vibrant research setting that promotes leveraging our robust interdisciplinary heritage. Through both research and academic studies, we motivate students to transcend traditional limits and synthesize knowledge across these domains.
