Obtain a Bachelor of Science in early childhood education (ECE) through a four-year program that qualifies you for dual Indiana teaching certifications, enabling you to teach infants/toddlers, preschoolers, and K-3rd grade students. The ECE curriculum focuses on training educators for inclusive classrooms, with specialized coursework in early intervention and special education. As part of IU's ECE Program, you'll master curriculum development and classroom design for young learners while establishing educational frameworks to guide your future work with children and families. The program provides hands-on learning opportunities, allowing you to apply your skills in actual classroom environments. Through fieldwork and student teaching placements, you'll work with diverse groups of infants, preschoolers, and elementary students, gaining practical experience with children of varying cultural backgrounds, ethnicities, and abilities—preparing you for the realities of your teaching career.
Applicant must have completed a diploma from an accredited high school (or must have completed the Indiana High School Equivalency Diploma)
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 79 on internet-based test, 550 on paper-based test, IELTS score of 6.5 and PTE score of 53.
