Our faculty works both individually and collectively to cultivate an ideal atmosphere for composers, offering outstanding mentorship, inspiration, and professional development. Throughout each academic year, we host eight standard student composition recitals plus two specialized showcases for electronic and computer music works, alongside various collaborative initiatives and special events. Leveraging the Jacobs School's exceptional performance resources, your works will be performed across diverse formats - from solo pieces to chamber groups and large ensembles. As you approach graduation, you'll present a culminating recital featuring works created during your studies. Upon completing the program, you'll possess a robust collection of scores and recordings, enriched by countless interactions within the Jacobs community and visiting professionals, fully equipping you for your future career path.
Applicant must have completed a diploma from an accredited high school (or must have completed the Indiana High School Equivalency Diploma)
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 79 on internet-based test, 550 on paper-based test, IELTS score of 6.5 and PTE score of 53.
