The Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre prepares talented students pursuing professional careers in musical theatre while benefiting from Indiana University's excellent liberal arts education. Admission to the B.F.A. program requires an audition, usually completed before starting freshman year. This intensive program develops students' skills in acting, vocal performance, and dance through a demanding curriculum. Alongside performance training, students engage in comprehensive theatre and music coursework, career-focused professional development classes, and specialized workshops led by visiting artists. Structured to maximize each student's potential, the B.F.A. in musical theatre combines specialized training with broad academic studies. With only 10-14 students admitted annually, the program ensures personalized attention throughout each student's journey at Indiana University.
Applicant must have completed a diploma from an accredited high school (or must have completed the Indiana High School Equivalency Diploma)
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 79 on internet-based test, 550 on paper-based test, IELTS score of 6.5 and PTE score of 53.
