The Bachelor of Science in Music undergraduate program provides comprehensive training in core musical disciplines including music history, performance, and theory, culminating in an Advanced Seminar capstone. Students work with their advisor to select complementary electives. The curriculum includes five mandatory courses (with one involving two performance terms and two fulfilling CI-M requirements) plus five designated electives, though additional electives are encouraged. Designed to mirror top liberal arts college music programs, this degree equips students for advanced music studies. Prospective majors should possess fundamental music knowledge and performance background, and must meet with the music department advisor by their junior year's first semester.
The first-year application is intended for students who have concluded their secondary education and wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree as a full-time university student.
