The Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies is an on-campus graduate program available at Indiana State University's Terre Haute location. This program accepts qualified applicants from both the United States and abroad, with a selective admissions process. Indiana State's Physician Assistant Studies master's program requires full-time enrollment across seven consecutive semesters, starting each January. The curriculum consists of two stages: a 15-month classroom-based Didactic Phase followed by a 12-month hands-on Clinical Phase. Students complete clinical rotations primarily within Indiana, though arrangements for out-of-state placements may be approved.
Grounding its approach in evidence-based medicine and culturally competent care, the program aims to cultivate skilled healthcare professionals who embrace collaborative practice. Students gain interprofessional learning experiences by working alongside peers in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Athletic Training programs, and medical students from Indiana University School of Medicine-Terre Haute.
