The Applied Community and Economic Development (ACED) program is a cross-disciplinary initiative that empowers individuals dedicated to driving social impact through service to advance their professional growth. Tailored for former Peace Corps Volunteers and students with development backgrounds (such as AmeriCorps or nonprofit experience), this program is managed by the Stevenson Center for Community and Economic Development. Fellows undergo a rigorous year of on-campus study before embarking on an 11-month paid practicum. During their time on campus, ACED students hold graduate assistantships in both fall and spring semesters before transitioning to fieldwork. This sequence provides a comprehensive, practical education for those seeking careers in community and economic development, both domestically and internationally.
