The Publishing Studies program equips graduates for diverse publishing careers. This track particularly benefits undergraduates pursuing work with nonprofit presses, academic journals, and scholarly publications. Through this curriculum, students develop expertise in multiple areas including editorial proofreading, content editing, publication design, marketing strategies, advertising techniques, rights management, graphic production, documentation practices, archival methods, and mass distribution systems. This comprehensive training allows participants to enhance their professional portfolios while gaining market-relevant competencies. A mandatory internship, coordinated with the English Studies internship coordinator, forms an integral part of the Publishing Studies requirements. These field placements provide hands-on publishing experience to strengthen students' career readiness.
