Illinois Tech's biochemistry program equips students to address these complex problems through rigorous coursework, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on lab experiences. Numerous biochemistry students engage in research projects during academic terms or summer breaks.

Gaining admission to health professional schools is highly competitive. The Master of Science in Biology for the Health Professions serves as a post-bachelor's pre-medical curriculum that enhances applicants' qualifications for various healthcare fields such as medicine, dentistry, optometry, and pharmacy.

Illinois Tech offers an accelerated five-year combined bachelor's/master's program in biochemistry and health professions biology, delivering the essential competencies and practical exposure to unlock diverse career pathways.
