The Department of Anthropology is dedicated to studying and educating on worldwide human diversity and uniqueness throughout history. Using both practical methods and theoretical frameworks, anthropology examines various dimensions of human existence. These encompass cultural practices, modern societies, human biological evolution, and linguistic systems. The discipline offers comparative viewpoints across cultures, environments, and global contexts regarding human behavior throughout time. We aim to utilize anthropological principles to address critical contemporary issues in social, cultural, and environmental spheres. Graduate programs provide Master of Arts (M.A.) or Master of Science (M.S.) degrees with focus areas including applied anthropology, archaeological science, ecological studies, forensic applications, linguistic conservation, medical anthropology, and oral tradition documentation.
