In the Criminology specialization, students must take 4 core courses (12 credits: SOC 6600, SOC 6620, SOC 6603, and PSYC 6632) from the M.A. in Sociology curriculum, along with completing either an applied project or thesis (6 credits). Students also select 15 elective credits from the options provided. This interdisciplinary Criminology specialization is jointly administered by the Department of Sociology, Social Work, and Criminology and the Department of Political Science. Additional relevant courses from both departments may qualify as electives with approval from the M.A. in Sociology Program Director.
