The 30-unit Master of Science in Criminology offers a versatile curriculum with a strong foundational core, allowing students to focus on specific areas of interest. This program equips graduates for leadership roles and professional careers within criminal justice organizations. Students gain qualifications for diverse career paths such as in-service training, educational administration, community college instruction, doctoral preparation, and research initiatives. Having launched its first graduate criminology course in 1957, this program has grown into the most extensive master's offering in the field across Central California. As an advanced degree program, it now attracts students nationwide.
An acceptable baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 (on a 4-point scale) in the last 60 semester units attempted.
English language Score: TOEFL – 80 iBT, or IELTS – 6.5, or Pearson’s Test of English - 53, or iTEP – 4.5.
