The Department of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences provides Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programs focusing on Pharmaceutics, Drug Discovery, or Pharmacology, while the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administrative Sciences offers a specialization in Pharmacoeconomics and Administrative Sciences. Earning a Ph.D. requires completing and presenting significant original research. Candidates must show mastery in medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, and/or pharmaceutics principles, along with expertise in biochemistry, molecular biology, and physiology techniques for pharmaceutical research. They should also develop skills to recognize key research challenges, design investigation strategies, evaluate scientific literature critically, and present findings clearly through writing and speaking.
