Students have the option to focus on an educational track designed to equip them for instructional roles in pharmacy. This concentration includes six credit hours of elective classroom-based coursework during their third professional year, followed by a six-credit elective advanced pharmacy practice rotation in their fourth year. Selected participants in the Education Specialization program acquire hands-on experience across various aspects of pharmacy instruction.

Qualification Requirements

Successful completion of the PharmD curriculum as approved by the faculty in the School of Pharmacy
Completion of 10 credit hours of electives
Academic good standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above
Complete the pre-pharmacy curriculum by the end of the spring term prior to planned enrollment in the School of Pharmacy.
All courses listed in the pre-pharmacy curriculum must be completed with a grade of C or better.
Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale) in both pre-pharmacy curriculum grade point average and pre-pharmacy science and mathematics grade point average.

Pre-Health Professions Committee Letter If the applicant's undergraduate institution has a pre-health profession committee, a letter or letter packet by committee members can be submitted in place of the three required letters of recommendation. This packet or letter will be submitted to AADSAS as one individual letter.
