Our program develops compassionate and skilled dietitians and nutritionists who apply research-backed methods to enhance nutritional health and prevent illness in underserved populations, improving health outcomes and addressing inequities.
Howard's Graduate School offers a Master of Science (M.S.) in Nutritional Sciences that equips students for diverse careers in nutrition research, public health, clinical settings, corporate wellness, and private practice. Many alumni continue their education through doctoral programs. This M.S. program focuses on scientifically validated strategies for improving nutrition and preventing disease in vulnerable communities worldwide. Students can specialize in either community nutrition or experimental nutrition, with options to conduct original research aligned with their academic focus. Our faculty actively engage in developing, executing, and assessing nutrition programs and policies across local and international settings.
