The Master in Public Policy (MPP) program equips you with both broad perspectives and specialized skills for a rewarding career in public service. Your first year includes foundational courses in key areas: Economics, Ethics, Leadership, Negotiation, Political Science, Policy Development, and Data Analysis. The year concludes with Spring Exercise - an intensive two-week simulation where you'll synthesize first-year concepts. Typically, students complete a policy-focused internship after their first year. In your second year, you'll undertake the Policy Analysis Exercise, a hands-on thesis project. Our academic setting fosters intellectual curiosity, allowing you to explore diverse policy fields. The 12-credit DPI curriculum examines political systems and governance globally, covering subjects like: Presidential and Congressional operations, Media influence, Comparative political systems, and Analytical approaches to policy challenges.
