The Master of Science in Urban Planning and Policy (MUPP) program prepares future leaders to develop equitable and environmentally conscious solutions for pressing urban challenges. This interdisciplinary program merges urban planning, policy evaluation, and data science from the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs with spatial design and visual analytics from the School of Architecture. The coursework establishes core competencies in statistical research methods, economic evaluation, planning law, and the evolution of urban development theories. Participants further focus their studies by selecting from four specialization tracks: Physical Planning and Urban Design, Urban Data Analytics, Sustainable and Resilient Cities, or Policy and Development Planning.
