The two-year Master in Landscape Architecture (MLA II) is a postprofessional graduate program designed for individuals with an undergraduate degree in landscape architecture or equivalent. This program enhances professional training by focusing on built environment design where urbanization meets ecology, enabling students to refine their critical thinking, theoretical knowledge, visualization abilities, and technical expertise. The MLA II curriculum features an intensive one-semester core with studio work, urbanism theory, representation techniques, and a seminar on contemporary landscape architecture topics. Students then enjoy three semesters of flexible study, choosing from advanced studios and electives across the GSD departments and broader university. This structure fosters in-depth individual and collaborative research, with the option to pursue an elective thesis in the final term.
