The HSDM Advanced Graduate Education Program in Geriatric Dentistry (Certificate) is a two-year interdisciplinary initiative combining Dentistry, Medicine, and Mental/Behavioral Health to educate dental fellows in treating elderly patients, particularly those in underserved communities. The curriculum includes four key elements: academic studies, hands-on clinical practice, instructional/leadership development, and scholarly investigation. This comprehensive training equips future geriatric dentistry specialists with the expertise, practical abilities, and theoretical understanding needed to provide care across various settings (institutional, community-based, and private practice) while advancing the field through academic and professional contributions.
